Sunday evening

Now comes the best part of the day! Sunday evening was the eagerly awaited 34th annual concert of the Maelgwn Male Voice Choir. It has always been the tradition of the choir to invite well known artistes to join them in their concert and this year we were lucky enough to have the lovely singer, Hayley Westenra from New Zealand with us.

The concert was held at Venue Cymru : Theatre, Llandudno, North Wales and it exceeded all expectations. We all enjoyed Hayley's exceptional clear voice and we also enjoyed the talents of two local artistes, Annette Bryn Parry on the piano and Dylan Cernyw , harpist accompanying her in the second half of the concert. They have just brought out a CD called Piatel.

This photo was taken from the Gallery on Dylan's website.
The choir was as usual in very good form after one of the most successful years in it's history, read all about it on their website Maelgwn Male Voice Choir

I had a special reason for having my photo taken with Hayley, I was on a mission for 2 special young girls from New Zealand who wanted her autograph and with me I had two photos of the girls taken with Hayley's sister Sophie. This was a complete surprise for her, the last thing she expected so far from home was to be given a photo of her sister by a stranger.
A choir member, Huw Roberts kindly took the photo for me and you can see some of the choir having a sing-song in the background.

Nothing better than a Welsh Male Voice choir!! Sometimes they even 'serenade' me with 'Myfanwy'!!

Deeply envious!
