I was going to take a photo of the highest tide in 20 years, but as it was around midnight I didn't get one. When we have high tides we also have very low tides, so I photographed some of the sandbanks that we don't often see. Someone really has pulled the plug out.
I took a couple of photos at lunchtime today, but I'd forgotten to change the setting from 'Macro' so they didn't turn out. You can see how high it came in from the seaweed line at the edge here. I have seen much higher tides in the last 18 years, but the high tide was accompanied by a storm then.
