TAST Feather Stitch

I have just finished my Take a Stitch Tuesday sample for this week. I enjoyed the Double Feather Stitch and the Closed Feather Stitch which I used to make the borders, but I never enjoy the simple Feather Stitch itself.
The fabric I used this time was poly cotton I printed some time ago with a digital image where I used bird feathers. I thought it suited the stitch. It was stitched with crochet cotton I hand dyed on a Ruth Issett course.

This is brilliant Mags. Love the colours you have used. Just left a comment on CarolT's blog - didn't realise there was a closed feather stitch. Now you tell me there is a double feather stitch. Me thinks there is a lot of gaps in my stitch vocabulary :))

Very nice. I didn't realize this stitch could have that many variations, especially the way you did the border.
