Plas Tan y Bwlch 2

Please click to look at the larger image, they are worth looking at.

Now I have some real eye candy for you tonight. This is the work done at my friend Mary's workshop at Plas Tan y Bwlch. I often mention Mary Spence and her work. She is a real Multi Media artist. She trained as an artist and taught art at secondary school before moving on to adult education where she taught City and Guilds. She does Silk Painting, all kinds of Printing, Stitching, and anything to do with creative textiles.

The work above is Mary's own work, inspired by one of her prints.

She taught Felting at Plas Tan y Bwlch this time, she said "crazy colour felting "just about sums that few days up. They all had a fantastic time at her class as you can see from the results.
Mary has daughters living in Toronto, Canada and a daughter in Amsterdam and she will travel anywhere giving talks and workshops!

What fantastic, colourful work Margaret as always. I love felting it has such wonderful texture and tactile qualities. Was this a private course or does Mary teach courses anywhere else?

Wow, wonderful stuff. Looks like a wonderful time. Is this wet/nuno felting or done with the embellisher?

Hi!
These images are simply a joy. The colors are so vivid and happy. The stitching is so beautifully integrated. The textures make me, like Charlie, want to reach out and stroke the surfaces. There is no doubt that Mary is in high demand as a tutor. It looks like so much fun with such positive results. Thanks for sharing such brilliantly captured photos.

WOW Magaret, my heart's racing with all that colour.
This reminds me so much of the workshop I attended when Kaffe Fassett was over here, colour everywhere.
