Zandra Rhodes

Here is a great video for Zandra Rhodes admirers. BBC - London - Communicate - Zandra Rhodes

I have made anther piece of work for the Take it Further challenge - January . It has been such fun and again seemed to have a mind of it's own. Looking at the photo I took of Zandra I think I have captured her exuberance and love of life and colour in particular in this little piece. I am quite pleased with it.

I think this will be a Journal, a tribute to Zandra Rhodes and will be continued as and when I feel I need a bit of an injection of excitement, colour and freedom. This is something I can do when I feel my work is becoming a bit too stiff and reserved again.

Looks like it will be an exciting journal! It's always good to go in a different direction every now and then. Your piece is beautiful.

I will look forward to seeing more of the journal! I am fascinated by Zandra Rhodes, now. I can't imagine how I missed her, growing up (high school and college) in the 60's, and I was a hippie, too!

I have just watched the Zandra Rhodes interview and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the link, I am still blown away at what you can do on the Internet! I was going to pop into the museum tomorrow as I have some spare time in London, but see that there is a new exhibition starting on 8 Feb, and a new cafe opening! So will save that treat for another day. Lesley
