February Challenge - Wall of Flowers

I have another wonderful birthday card to share with you. This one was from Emmy. Isn't it wonderful. I commented on this particular card on her blog here saying it was my favourite without knowing that she had already posted it to me.

Here is my finished Take it Further challenge February « In a Minute Ago It has given me great pleasure, thinking about the challenge brought back so many memories of my own and looking at all the other challenges brought back so many more memories that I hadn't even realised were there. It has inspired me to create a stitched book of memories on my happy childhood in this house where I spent the first 5 years of my life.

This is really lovely, this month's challenge has me thinking of doing something like a book of memories, also. I love the free motion quilting in the piece, and the soft colors.

Oh yes I remember walls covered in aubretia and white rock(don't know it's proper name), you don't see it so often . A lovely piece.

this is lovely Mags. It so reminds my of my own grandmothers garden wall with the cascades of tiny purple and white flowers.

This is really lovely Margaret, it is so subtle. The positive and negative spaces are so effective. The colours remind me of the wisteria we have on the side of our house, when it's in flower
