New blog

I've just started a new blog on behalf of the North Wales Embroiderers' Guild and we have decided to call it CROESEW which is a play on the Welsh word Croeso, meaning Welcome.

This is the poster advertising the Guild Biennial Exhibition to be held in October.

I have also been finishing my Winter Tree for the SerenTex project on trees.

Here is a detail of the tree using the embellisher and free machining.

Love the tree, it has a witchy, blasted heath sort of feel. I may have said this before but where do you magic the time to do all you do?!

Sorry my last comment was full of typos! That was a quick response Christine I have only just finished the post. LOL, I'm on the go all the time I suppose. I never go to bed until midnight and am up fairly early, before 8 usually.
Thanks for the lovely comment on the tree.

Very clever title.
I enjoyed the Festival of Quilts posts as I couldn't go this year. I'm gradually piecing it together (!) from all the blog posts. Thanks.

I love your winter tree Mags - it's beautiful. The poster for the exhibition is great but those shoes don't look very comfortable!! Oh dear, yet another blog to be checked out! Looking forward to seeing what lovely things you post on it.

This is a magic tree. I love it. What kind of background did you use? It looks so nice textured.

This is fabulous work Margaret. I love trees. I also wanted to say how excited I was to see the Egyptian pieces on Serentex. I am visiting Egypt in January, so I'm starting to get excited about my visit and will make a piece to remind me of my travels. I will be inspired by the work on Serentex
