Catch-up

22nd Nov 10 009

This was taken one day last week very early in the morning.

22nd Nov 10 011

And here is a close-up of Conwy Castle. Unfortunately they started to store some of the boats in front of it over the Winter and I think this is very inconsiderate of them because they spoil all my castle photos.

22nd Nov 10 027

I think there are fewer boats at the Marina as well as many of them go to the boatyard over the winter.

The Cycle/Footpath has been very popular since it was created a few years ago, but not this popular! They kept on coming and coming and coming and I took photo after photo. This was only the second year of the Supply Print Half Marathon and it could soon be Wales’ second largest half marathon. It attracted 1200 runners from all over the UK and some from as far as America and Germany. We must have had the prime spot for watching the race.

There was even a tree running in the race!

I’d been finding it difficult to get started on the work that needed doing for some reason. There’s a lovely Welsh saying ‘Deuparth gwaith ei ddechrau’ - this just rolls off the tongue and it must be one of my favourite sayings and it is so true. Roughly translated it says ‘Starting means half the work is done’. It was very true this time because once I started I just couldn’t stop and I made 5 bags, 9 heart decorations a picture that I had framed, plus a few brooches.

Here are some of my bags with some scarves that looked really good with them and they were made by Rosemary. I was pleased to have an order for two more bags before Christmas and I hope to get on with them while I’m still in the mood. As you can see all these were made using the embellisher. Which reminds me that I have been booked to give a class at Carol’s new shop ‘Stitch It’ in Llandudno. Her new website is still in progress but will be ready soon.

Work in progress!

snow 011

We have snow, but not the first snow of winter. It has come lower this time and looks nice from afar.

There was no sun on the castle this morning, but the walls were such a rich colour after the rain I had to take a photo.

Here is a closeup. can you see the seagull?

Rhos-on-Sea on a Sunday morning

It was a beautiful morning and ideal for photography as the air was so clear.

Gulls and Windmills.

I found just the thing for my fisherman -

estuary 087

A couple of fishing rods! I’m sure his catch would be even better with one of those.

gulls

Only this morning I complained to my husband that I can never take good photos of birds and an hour later I took this one.

Cycling is very popular here. but I think it was the sea that eroded this one and not over cycling on the cycle path.

Lovely colours and textures.

But from this morning’s photos, this must be my favourite.

I Can Sing a Rainbow

I’ve been re-charging my batteries this past week, staying in rather than gadding about, going to bed early, around 10pm rather than past midnight and at the same time doing some very gentle de-cluttering. I can highly recommend it to anyone who’s feeling a bit sluggish.

I’ve had time to take photos of the estuary and I thought perhaps some of you might like to see some of them.

These were both taken the same day.

This photo was taken half an hour later. We often have rainbows in the early morning and almost in exactly the same spot and I often takes photos, but those rainbows were the best and clearest yet and if you look carefully there was even a third one in between the two brightest.
