This is exactly how my camera took a photo of last night’s sunset!
And then as it sank lower. There are more photos on my photo blog.
I’m sure all the train spotters around would have enjoyed my vantage point. there were quite a few of them around.

I’m not a green person and I never seem to wear green, have green in my house or much green in my work, but I do love Spring greens, they are more yellowish . The photo above has not been touched up at all and is the tree in the garden opposite us at the back.
This is the garden to the front, again untouched. aren’t those greens wonderful?
This doesn’t to seem as bright.
The mud seems to have this green growing on it this year, it doesn’t every year.
The vase is lovely and belonged to my mother whose house was always decorated in greens and even the windows and doors outside were green. Maybe this is why I don’t have greens? Maybe I saw too much of it as I grew up?
I’ve just been watching the news and feel so sorry for all those people in Alabama and Southern America who have been having to suffer the loss of so many people in those frightening tornadoes. My thoughts go out to them all.
Here in the UK Prince William and Catherine are now married and will be called the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I was in LLandudno first thing this morning but have had the TV on since I came home. The atmosphere has been wonderful.
Kate dropped into Fortes Milk Bar our favourite coffee bar in Llandudno for a chat with us and she was beautiful and charming.
This first weekend in May is celebrated with a Victorian extravaganza and I thought this would make an interesting composition.
As it was fairly early I managed to take this photo without too many people surrounding it.
This one was already busy with loads of people watching. It was was a very exciting pece of machinery, but not for me. I found it very frightening.
These Bumper cars have always held a very strong attraction for me and was always one of my first rides at the fairground.
We have had some beautiful sunsets recently and tonight’s was exceptional.
I will have more photos on my photo blog.
This lone fisherman on the right is looking as tired as I feel this evening. He too has probably been standing all day as he looked pretty perky this morning. It’s been another lovely day here and I didn’t even go out! DH had to go to a funeral, so I took advantage of having the house to myself and did loads of work. I have almost sorted out all my embellisher stuff. The wool and silk tops were all mixed up and the felts and organza had somehow gone in the same boxes, but at last I can find everything again. My workshops preparation is on track. I was sorting out some of my Embellisher samples and thought perhaps you’d like to see a few of them.
That’s all we need in this country is a little more sunny weather. It makes such a difference and brings a smile to all our faces.
Toys for Boys.
And off we go.
This looks more like hard work though, but the yacht at the top of the photo has the right idea. but if you think this is hard work what about this one?
I see them working on the mussel bed regularly and it always seems to be such hard work with all that bending.
What about this one? i thought it was well and truly banked until I saw what they were doing doing. I know it’s not a good detail but will give you an idea of what a wonderful group photo that would have made if I’d been closer.
We’ve had a very relaxing day, but we did go to Rhos on Sea this morning where I took some more photos. So that I don’t bore you I will put some of them on my photo blog.
Peeling paint on a boat bottom. But what about the second? Do you think someone has tried to use the embellisher on it? I couldn’t believe my eyes because it’s been stuck to the boat, but it couldn’t possibly have been put there to block a hole?
I’m still relaxing and un-winding.
At last a little creativity with the Embellisher and a little hand stitching this evening, which I enjoyed. I think I’ll do more of this in the evenings instead of sitting with my laptop on my knee ![]()
So very different, but taken seconds from each other - the sunset to the right and the low mist to the left.
This has not had a sepia filter, it is just the way it was.
This was taken about half an hour earlier.
The boats were being transferred to the water this morning and by this evening there were no boats on the quay and the castle and bridge looked beautiful in the evening sun.
I’m pleased with these last two photos above.
I’m still making changes to my workroom and sorting stuff out, but I have been playing with Paint Shop Pro again this evening.
Sheila asked how I got my images to be so vibrant. I’s probably my original colours were bright and I then played with them in PSP with the Blend Modes. I can sit for hours trying this or that effect on my work and I find it so relaxing. Here are a couple more below.
Thanks for welcoming me back JP ![]()
