CTDG Summer School

I am such a lucky lady! When I realised I’d double booked myself at the end of July and the beginning of August. My West Wales workshop finished at 3pm on Sunday and I had to be at the Computer Textile Design Group Summer School that same evening and there was no way I could do both. My friend Dorothy told me off and said I had to go to the CTDG workshop and then my friend Christine said she’d like to come too and so we both came straight from her house without calling home to Christleton in Chester. A bit of a rush, but well worth it. We had a wonderful workshop with Carolyn Sinclair being inspired to use our Embroidery software. She was very patient and inspirational.

Here is Carolyn instructing Christine who was just beginning to use her Bernina machine and software.

 

We used letters to create negative shapes, some curvy and some angular and we used these to digitize.

Workshop 3

Another photo of Ginger!

I’m very pleased to tell you that this lovely piece of work created on my course by Enfys was framed and sold at a recent exhibition.

This piece was inspired by an image from a quilting book and it’s turned out so well.

A Workshop

I had a wonderful time teaching  a group of very talented ladies last weekend. They chose to learn new techniques using their Embellisher machines and as this was their second workshop I had lots of fun creating new ideas to use.

  

 

This is a table full of some of their samples and the eight students worked really hard and I was pleased with every single sample.

I love taking photos of working hands.
