Catching up

It seems I have a lot of catching up to do. Life takes over at times and I have just hit a rather busier patch than usual. I have to go back to the weekend before last, back in June when I stayed at Plas Tan y bwlch for 4 days. Well actually I only slept there 3 nights. A group of us from SerenTex and some of our friends went on a little retreat as we do every year around this time.

This was the view from my window and I just love that meandering river even after I was told it was not the original course of the river but designed by the owners of Plas to stop flooding.
This year we asked Mary to bring her special printing stuff with her and most of us enjoyed it. Mary herself used it to develop her latest Shell project, but I just enjoyed making a mess with everything working at my fast and furious pace with the intention of gathering ideas for my own project. I have joined the Art House Sketchbook project and have chosen Lines and Grids as I’d already collected a lot of ideas during the last few years.
I took some photos.

Used my Sketchbook, but not ‘The’ Sketchbook yet.

I hope to share a bit more with you later especially on the SerenTex blog. Please use the links in the sidebar to get to the SerenTex and Cymraes Greadigol blogs if you would like to see a little more of what I've been doing.

That view is stunning indeed. Anyone would want to be there.

I love the last piece you showed. I will hop over to Serentex to see what else has to be seen :-)

Selecting a wager venue used to be a very secretive mission and your betting options were limited to what an individual bookie, or book maker, was capable of covering. These limited choices resulted in odds stacked against the bettor and an apprehension when it came time for payouts.
